CHICAGO, October 22, 2020 – Apervita, a trusted healthcare technology leader delivering innovative technology solutions to payers, providers and other stakeholders, joins the eHealth Initiative & Foundation (eHI), a non-profit organization headquartered in Washington, D.C.
eHI advocates for the improvement of consumer health data interoperability and privacy; the advancement of data analytics (and the artificial intelligence and machine learning technology issues and ethical considerations that go with it) in healthcare; addressing social determinants of health; championing healthcare cost transparency; making population health management and value-based care work better; and elevating the patient experience.
Apervita will sit on the eHI Leadership Council, which comprises U.S. healthcare’s most influential executives and thought leaders. Members represent payers, providers, consumer groups, vendors, tech companies, patient advocacy groups, and trade associations.
“Apervita looks forward to collaborating with some of the industry’s brightest minds to tackle today’s biggest healthcare issues and help to find solutions and define policies to move the industry forward,” said Kevin Hutchinson, Apervita CEO, who returns to the organization after serving as an eHI board member while he was CEO at Surescripts. “Rejoining eHI, a distinguished community of healthcare leaders, feels like a homecoming of sorts.”
Through education, research, and advocacy, eHI promotes the use and sharing of data to improve healthcare and build alliances to improve collaboration among healthcare stakeholders. Healthcare providers and health IT technology professionals rely on eHI's Resource Center to stay informed of the latest news, trends and issues.
Becoming an eHI member further magnifies Apervita’s commitment to help solve some of the industry’s toughest problems. Apervita’s innovative collaboration platform was developed to empower payers, providers and other stakeholders to measure performance and improve clinical quality as well as administer and run analytics on value-based contracts.
Apervita’s platform also powers its quality measures engine, which currently supports more than 2,500 hospitals, with the on-demand, continuous ability to upload their data, execute quality measures and submit their results for accreditation. The platform also enables providers to log in at any point throughout the year to view metrics, empowering them to continuously improve on measure performance. This solution has saved the industry a projected savings of $90 million per year as it automates manually upload and measure execution processes that typically consume many hours in traditional reporting. Apervita’s lineup of performance management solutions include QMaaS™, the industry’s first cloud-based digital quality measurement platform to make real-time provider quality measurement consistent; and QPay™, a platform for payers and providers to jointly manage value-based contracts in their networks.
